Robert and Bhagya Barrett built Maharani as a meeting point between Cork distilling and Bhagya's Kerala heritage. It is their first release from Rebel City Distillery, and it makes the marriage of those places literal in the bottle.

Cork meets Kerala.

The Barretts opened their distillery in Cork's historic Docklands and launched Maharani in 2020. Robert brings distilling expertise; Bhagya, who is originally from Kerala, brings the cultural frame and spice palette. The result is a gin made in Ireland with botanicals that deliberately point home to India.
